PCN has withdrawn approvals from over 3000 NDT technicians after it was
that the training school where they either qualified or re certified had
been fabricating certificates.
The company involved named as NDT International PTE Ltd operated a number
of PCN approved training establishments throughout India and the Far East.
After numerous tip offs, BINDT decided to secretly send in their own candidates to
take part in
courses and exams. During one visit a candidate witnessed fraudulent
certificates being issued.
The level of fraud and malpractice uncovered was such that BINDT decided that it
choice but to void all certificates issued by the company, as it was not
possible to distinguish
between certificates obtained legitimately and those
obtained by other means.
Technicians who have lost their qualifications will not have to retake their original
training courses. Instead they have a 6 month window in which to re sit their
examinations at another centre. One re sit will be allowed, after which any
candidates that fail will have to attend the appropriate training courses.
A number of NDT International PTE staff have been banned from working with
BINDT or another BINDT approved organization permanently and have had their
PCN Certification removed indefinitely.
NDT International PTE Ltd no longer has any association with BINDT or the
PCN Scheme and cannot conduct any further valid PCN training courses and
